Allow me to introduce myself – and the Financial Dutchman!

My name is Björn and I am a data scientist living in South East Asia with a strong consulting background. My consulting experience exposed me to a wide variety of industries from which I still benefit every day. It helps me understand businesses quickly. A data-driven approach is always my starting point when I do my research. I was born and bred in The Netherlands and I love the fascinating topic of investing. Hence, the link to the name of the blog.

Over the years I have read countless investing books and annual reports. I started to invest when I was still in my teens and my journey up to this point has been intellectually and financially rewarding. For this reason I strongly believe that everyone can and should have access to relevant investing knowledge.

At this moment I’m primarily investing. However, I have done my fair share of speculation as well (forex, CFD’s, options, futures, crypto etc.). Both investing and speculation can be rewarding. The key message I want to bring across is that you need a clear process in place to ensure you are set up for success. I want to use this blog to teach you more about investing processes with the hope that you can incorporate some of these into your own approach.
